Our coasters are made from real imported stone. Generally
fabricated from sandstone, slate, or limestone these porouse materials
can soak up the moisture from a glass or container. The liquid then
rests within the stone until the air evaporates it into the atmosphere
naturally, leaving behind no puddles and no mess.
Each stone we use is cut from the side of a mountain
into giant slabs of material. These pieces resemble enormouse canvases,
and have intricate shapes and hues within their surface. The slabs
are then cut into smaller stones, each of which contains a small portion
of the picture that existed in the slab.
Every single coaster we sell is one of a kind due to the natural processes
which occurred during its formation. This means that they are each
one of a kind, and look different than any other coaster set in the
world.
Each coaster is hand selected for its beauty and color,
and is then fabricated into the appropriate size and shape. They are
also treated with a light sealant to protect them from staining.
